For the by-elections to be held on 10 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party (SP), a constituent of 'Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance' (India), will contest on eight seats and Congress on two seats. Ghaziabad and Khair seats have come to Congress's share. According to PTI report, SP spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said on Thursday that under the agreement for the by-election, Congress will field its candidate from Khair assembly seat of Aligarh district as well as Ghaziabad seat. . At the same time, Congress state unit president Ajay Rai said that he has no information about this yet and Congress was demanding five seats. SP has also announced its candidate for the by-election of Meerapur seat. The party has made Sumbul Rana its candidate for this seat. SP has so far declared its candidates on seven seats and has left two seats for Congress. In which 10 assembly seats of the state are Katehari (Ambedkar Nagar), Karhal (Mainpuri), Milkipur (Ayodhya), Mirapur (Muzaffarnagar), Ghaziabad, Majhwan (Mirzapur), Sisamau (Kanpur Nagar), Khair (Aligarh), Phulpur (Prayagraj) and By-election is to be held on Kundarki (Moradabad).
